ear piercing dilemma- btdt moms opinions needed
My dd is 11 months and i havent gotten her ears pierced yet. I can now do it but im hesitating. I want to do them but im scared because shes so aware now that it will bother her afterwards.
1 shes a belly and side sleeper 2 when shes tired she runs her hand over her ear
Am i being paranoid? Is it too late should i just wait until shes older at this point? Does it bother them at all after their pierced? Anyone experience any issues sleeping issues with their dd after the piercing?
Any experiences and opinions welcome? Suggestions?

I just had DD ears pierced at 9 mos and i had the same concerns as you. Shes completely fine and doesnt grab at them ever. If youre going to do it, do it now. If you wait any longer i would then wait until shes older and asks for it herself.

I pierced my DDs ears at 10 months and all was well until 12 months when she discovered how to remove them herself. It was a horrible experience trying to keep the holes open and earrings in her ears. Lots of crying and lots of stress. It was also very expensive to replace the earrings that she lost. We tried every single type of earring back, but she had no problems removing them. She was finally better with it around 2 1/2 years old. Now at 3 years she loves her earrings. It was a huge mistake for me and I wish I waited.

i had some similar concerns. we pierced DDs at 7m and it was and has been absolutely fine. she does touch her ears still but its never posed a problem. yes occasionally weve lost an earing or a back but its never been a problem. weve left it out for a few days here or there and they havent closed. she never really notices them there at all and shes 2 now. its really never posed and issue and im happy we did it when we did.

This. I got so fed up with the constant infections and pain that I let them close up! I am so happy that I did!

I just pierced dd ears at 27 mos. she did fine and it's never bothered her sleeping or otherwise. I wouldn't worry too much, and worst case scenario, you just take them out.
