I appreciate the advice!
Acerone... because you mentioned it, i'm now looking into the DC24... is it good on wood floors? (we have laminate throughout our house and carpet in the bedrooms)

ok...moving onto other things...
I had the animal---I liked it but it ws heavy and tended to die down after the years-I just got a dc 25...love it! 2 motors and alot lighter!

the dc24 is smaller its for flats and apts...
the dc25 is bigger--if u have a house its better.
I have allllllllll wood floors--its great!

My next question was going to be what is the difference b/w the two... that's good to know! Any other differences besides the 25 being $100 more? We have a townhome but most of the living space is on the top floor (foyer, garage, stairway on 1st floor).

Airwatts. The 25 has almost twice the amount of suction power then the 24. If you have that flat almost like indoor outdoor type of carpet they use in apartments then the 24 should do fine but if you have nice blush carpet I would go with the 25. I think you can get the 25 for the price of the 24 if you have a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon for 20%.
