DVD player for car?

For those of you who have a portable DVD player in your vehicle, can you tell me which one you have and why you like it? We want to get one for DS. He is still rear facing so he can't watch the built in one in our van. I need one that can mount to the headrest for him. We take a lot of long trips and I think this will make him a bit happier in the van...TIA

I have a single DVD player for the car and she loves it.
I cant remember the brand. Its like 5 yrs old. I upgraded yesterday. Target had a dual TV for 85 bucks. we figured this would be great for Fl. as we are driving this yr. She can watch one we can watch the other. When our second child comes they can each watch different videos. the brand name of this one was phillips. It may still be onsale today. not sure.

We just bought the dual dvd players from Target yesterday. It was Phillips for $85! We haven't tried it yet though!

We bought two Sonys. They can play independently, or linked together to display the same movie. One reason I went with the Sony's is so DS can have the blue one, and DD can have the pink one... but they still are the same player....

If your kids are in a car seat, how do you mount the DVD player? to the seat? Not sure about this, can someone explain?

Not a problem....He is rear facing in the back passenger seat. I plan on rigging it to the headrest on his seat. They make cases that attach to the headrest for them so I hope it will work with it this way...

this is the case we have - it can be mounted BETWEEN seats or in our case, on the headrest in front of em (we have her rear facing as well, until she's 2).

we don't use it in the 'tray' way they are showing - Em would kick the pooh out of that.... i can take a pic of the way we have it if you think it would be helpful.

we have a coby dvd player - we like it a lot. very basic, but has lasted us 4 years so far (kid free though).. i think it had to have been designed by a mom - because there's a way to set it up that Em cannot do ANYTHING (hit any buttons, etc.).

We have dual monitors, they get strapped to the headrest. Then each kid gets a set of headphones.

when we first put it in - she'd put her feet up on it, i started saying, NO FEET and she knows that means no feet on the dvd player.

eta: there is a strap behind the screen, holding the dvd player in there TIGHT!
