During an IUI....
Can you doctor tell if you have ovulated or not? Like does your cervix close right after ovulation?
Sorry for the dumb question lol! Im just wondering because I had my 2nd IUI today and I wanted to make sure I got an extra batch up there before I ovulated

If I remember correctly, the answer is yes, I also think a sono was performed before to indicate. I m not too sure though.

Generally blood work is done prior to an iui to determine if you are ovulating.

I had the same exact question about my IUI. They didn't do bloodwork or a sono before, so I was really skeptical. How do we know if we are doing it at the right time?! I triggered 2 nights before my IUI and apparently I did indeed ovulate bc I got my BFP 14 days later!  I think they base it off of the size of your follie and when you trigger. They do it all the time so I guess they just know. GL!!

I had a sono after each IUI even the back to back ones. they could tell immediately, but the cervix is very down low the eggs are released much higher.
