dumb question
when do u start gaining weight when you are pregnant? i wanted to lose some weight before i got pregnant but can you still lose weight in the beginning; like the first 3 weeks?

it all depends... i was in my 16th week and gained 2 lbs i think.

I can only tell you my experience and weeks 4-8 were all bloat for me. I didnt want to eat anything and I didn't gain any pounds on the scale but I felt VERY bloated. Not just my belly either -- my boobs were huge, my thighs were huge...
Weeks 8-12 I felt less bloated and got a baby bump! I didn't gain any weight my first trimester. You just gain a belly, really.

I didn't start gaining waight till I was in the middle of my second month and it was only a pound, but I think every one is different.
