Dumb changing table ?

We are using a long dresser with hutch for a changing table. Im not setting it up til tomorrow so I haven't really looked at it all -just thinking. We have a changing pad and I think it has straps but I'm not sure where they would go to be secured with the drawers there.

Do I need some sort of tray for the Changing pad to go into? Or can I use that carpet non skid waffle stuff? I don't want the pad to slip on the table.

Re: Dumb changing table ?

Ok the strap is for the baby so what secured this thing to the table? I told you it's a dumb question. Lol

Dumb changing table ?

Our changing pad has straps for the baby and another strap hanging off one side that's supposed to get nailed into the back of the dresser. But if yours has a hutch im not sure how you could attach it unless you can somehow get the strap through the space where the dresser and hutch meet. Or maybe just nail the strap to the hutch kind of low so it's not so noticeable when you remove the diaper pad someday?

I never attached mine. I never leave them alone on it anyway so I didn't feel the need. I put the no slip shelf liner under it so it wouldnt slide around.

mine is not attached either. And we never ever use the straps. Just put the pad on top of the dresser and its fine. Just never leave them alone on there.

Thanks! Sounds good. So I'm not nuts after all. Lol. I don't plan to turn my back with them on it even strapped in because you just never know. I'll get some shelf liner too.

Dumb changing table ?

I've always just used my changing pad on the floor, to be honest. Since the hutch is above the dresser, I never felt like there was enough room on there. Plus as DD got older, she looooooooved to flip off that thing, even with my hands on her!

Re: Dumb changing table ?

I just have a piece of the rubber cabinet liner on the bottom of my changing pad and it stays on good! :)
