Dr's affiliated with Winthrop
I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times but I'm looking for a new ob/gyn that is affiliated with Winthrop. I'm 11 wks. pregnant w/#2 and I like my Dr. (for a regular check-up) but I feel that he is way too quick when it comes to pre-natal care. I feel that a Dr. should walk you through what you need to know during your pregnancy. Last time I left, I went home and found out more info. from Babycenter.com then I did from him. Any suggestions?
*when searched through previous chats I found a couple of names but I wanted to see if they were recent.

One name that you'll hear often is Dr. Jennifer Hanauer. I see her and she is affiliated with Winthrop. I LOVE HER!

DO you have Dr. Levine at Long Island women's health care group?
I love him as a doctor...but he can sometimes rush.
I prefer Dr. Valderama at the same health care group. She is much more detailed and takes her time.

I'm using Dr. Lopresti (the younger one). I had preeclampsia w/my 1st and it took some time (and help) w/this one so I'm more nervous (I'm also 37).
He's a really nice Dr. but there are new tests (i.e. ultrascreen) and info that I just want to be fully aware of before hand. I know I went through it once but almost 4 yrs ago is a big blur.

You need to feel comfortable with your doctor...
Many many women here on LIF recommend Dr. Hanauer.

Yep or Dr. Dolisi in the same practice. I loved Dr. Dolisi he was very nice and informative.

I go to Dr. Mark Brandon in RVC - Mercy Medical Center. I am PG with Baby #2 and also had toxemia with my first. He is awesome.

Dr. Dolisi ended up doing my c-section. I felt very safe with him doing it. He was a great dr.

I am using Dr. Mesbah - he is really nice and patient. Answers all my questions and never feeled rushed.
