Dropping Naps..is 1 year too early??
DS is not the greatest napper since birth. But we started getting him on a good routine where he would nap for 1hr - 1hr 15min in the morning (around 9-10ish) and then again in the afternoon around 2ish for another hour/hour 15min.
He's up usually by 5:30 am, going down at nite by 7.
The afternoon nap the past week has been a mess. I leave him in the pNP to play with his toys and he will cry for me to pick him up, but i let him cry as we're trying to get him off the habit of being rocked (which at bedtime has worked fine). he alternates between playing and crying and usually is so tired he'll just plop down and go to sleep. Lately he will do this for an hour and a half, and then its too late to nap so he doesnt get an afternoon nap.
I think 1hr and 15 mnin nap during the day after being up at 5:30 is not enough sleep.
Im not sure if i should just skip the morning nap, put him down around noonish and hope he sleeps for 2 hours. (I've been told at daycare, this is what he has been doing lately..makes me nuts).
or is it too young to start dropping naps? He is 13 months almost.

Kaydyn dropped to just 1 nap at 11mos. She would wake up around 7/7:30 and would go down for a nap around 12:30/1 (after lunch). She would then sleep for 2-3hrs and would go to bed around 8:30/9pm.

If Ann had moved up rooms in daycare on the proper schedule (at 12 months), she would have been down to one nap then so I don't think it's too early.

DD went down to one nap right after her first birthday. just takes one longer nap now and still at almost 3

DS went down to 1 at 14 months, and now at 16 months that 1 nap is still only an hour-an hour and 15 mins.  He sleeps about 10.5-11 hours at night. I think some babies just need less sleep.

DS dropped his morning nap at around 14 months. He now does one nap a day. At home maybe an hour and a half but at day care always 2 + hours!
