Dr. Cliff Goldstein or Dr. Rifkin - Need Ob/Gyn Rec

once dr. B releases me in a few weeks i need to find a new ob/gyn. i want a doctor in the north shore/great neck area that delivers at NSUH preferably. Dr. B recommended Dr. Goldstein. i havent heard much about him, but Dr. B said he has a similar personality to him which i personally like!!

i was also considering great neck ob/gyn with dr. rifkin. i like that they have high risk in house and that they seem to do most of the testing in house. i also like that they have a 3d sono.

does anyone have experience with either Dr. Goldstein or Dr. Rifkin??

Also open to other recs in the area. I was previously seeing Dr. Jessica Jacob for a short time and although she gets great reviews and was nice, I found she really didn't give me the time I needed and I waited over 1.5 every time i went there. She also said I "might" have PCOS, never confirmed, and just gave me clomid, told me when to BD and no further instructions as to when to come back or anything like that. That was over a year ago and I just got pregnant now via IVF!!! Anyway I'm sure she is great, I just personally didn't love my experience with her.

But def let me know other area recs who deliver at NSUH! TIA!

First I want to congratulate you! Second I want to let you know that I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Rifkin. He was my doc when I had my son two years ago and my doc now. He is the nicest man you will ever meet. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the entire practice. FM me with any questions.

I am also with this practice. I haven't met Rifkin yet but I will at my 16w appt. The practice is WONDERFUL - they get back to you with results ASAP, the front desk is great, I just love that practice.

I actually joined because two of my friends (non-moms) loved Dr. Rifkin so much. I wanted a female GYN so I have only seen Sadaty so far, but I've heard nothing but wonderful things about all of the doctors.

My best friend goes to Dr Sadaty at Great Neck Obgyn and she loves her. She said all the Doctors are great and they get back to her immediately if she has any questions or concerns. She had some concerns in the early part of her 3rd trimester with early contractions...they were right on top of everything and quickly put her on meds and now everything is GREAT.

I live in the city, but recommended this group to her when she found out she was pregnant (based on recs from family out there).

I have seen Dr. Kaufmann and Dr. Sadaty in Great Neck. Dr. Kaufmann in my honest opinion is very quick and rushes through your exams.

Dr. Sadaty is a sweetheart. She really listens to your concerns and can relate to how you're feeling since she's a mom herself. When I fell a few weeks ago, she made me feel so much better.

I have an appointment with Dr. Rifkin on Wednesday. My SIL had nothing but great things to say about him.

thanks so much everyone who FMd as well as the those who posted their reviews here.
also, i didnt know Dr. Goldstein only delivered at LIJ. (i actually live walking distance to LIJ - for now).

would it be weird to make appointments with both doctors to see which one i like better??
after going through IF and seeing dr. B i've become really particular on the attitude, responsiveness, and reachability of my doctors!!

I don't think it would be weird. If you interview your pediatrician, why not your OB?

Make two appointments to see who you would be more comfortable with!
