Dr. Appointments towards the end...
Once you got to the point where you were going weekly... or when you get to that point... is/will Dh be going with you to all of those appointments?
DH is offering to go but I told him it's not necessary. I haven't seen a S.O. in my OB's office in a while so it seems like people aren't. I've really just been having him come to the growth sonos since I get them often so he feels "involved" and at least there is something to see at those appointments...

Dr. Appointments towards the end...
No he hasnt been to a regular OB appt since we've been at my parents... thereis no where to park by this office... but he usually picks me up from the appointment... He comes to the growth sonos though.

My DH only came to the growth sono appt (36 weeks), and then to the 40 week appt since we were talking about possible induction.

Dr. Appointments towards the end...
He came to the first few doctors appt and the big sono's. Honestly though, at this point I go in, they weigh me and listen to the heart beat. Seems silly for him to be there...though if I wanted him to be there he would be in a minute.

im going weekly and DH hasnt come to any appts. he is coming to my 39 week appt though but only bc he is forcing me to stop working and wants to make sure I tell the doctor that i want to stop that day  (if it were up to me i would work til the end!)

No, my DH doesn't come with me to appts, even at the end. There really isn't much for him to be a part of. In fact, the appts are pretty much the same as all the others, other than my OB does an internal exam in addition to listening to the baby's heart beat.

I tell DH he does not have to come to every appointment, he has only missed 2. But honestly, that is mostly because we work 5 miles from home, at the same company and the dr's office is literally right smack halfway between home and work. So it is so easy for him to come.
I make sure we plan sono's when he can come, but he still goes to regular visits.... he figures if he can, he will. It's actually shocking to me that he wants to go all the time LOL

OK thanks. I don't feel bad now for telling him not to come. The appointments are so quick it just seems silly to have him take the to go. I'll have him come to the last growth sono next week and then MAYBE if he wants, he can to come to the last appointment if he has any questions but I just think it doesn't make sense at this point...

My DH does not come, he works too far away. He was at the BIG appointments, but that was all I needed.

My dh likes to come, I think he's more excited than I am to hear the heart beat and ask questions and just stay informed. It's fine, the dr is in like walking distance from our apartment.

With my DD (and now this baby too) I started weekly appts. at 34 weeks because of my GD, I had to have monitoring and sonos every week. I usually went alone. Once I got closer to the end DH did come with me just because I was nervous, miserable, and just wanted him there. I think he came with me from 36 or 37 weeks on...........my water broke and DD was born at 39 weeks.

Nope, DH doesn't come to those. The appts are literally 5 mins where my dr just checks to see if I'm dilated. DH is happy to miss those!

DH never went to the regualr appts. He only went to sono appts.
FOr my entire 3rd tri I had weekly appts with my hight risk and then weekly appts with my reg OB so there was no way DH was going to be able to make all those appts.

DD just went to growth sonogram and that was it because it was not necessary. the dr just took weight, had me pee in a cup, check baby's heart and that was about it. I opted for no internals.

DH has never really come to my routine apts unless there was a specific reason. With #1 I just felt like they were usually boring and I didn't want him to waste his time, plus have to get off work, etc. With this pg I usually need him to watch DD becuase bringing her is a total headache. He only came to the big sonos.

DH comes to all appts with me. He didn't come to only 2 due to him working late...and my mom came instead.

DH only came to important appointments with sonos. He did come to the regular 39 week appointment though because at 38 weeks they had trouble finding the baby's heartbeat and I was close to tears. He wanted to be there in case something happened again. He will be at the 40 week too because we get another sono!

ummm Dh only came to a few high risk appointments in the beginning. It is so hard having someone watch the kids. He hasn't even met my new OB yet. I start going weekly next week. He is coming to meet the dr and that will probably be it.
