dos anyone know anything about a breathable crib mattress?
my mother told me a bout this im wondering if it really makes a difference which mattress we get? which did you ladies get?

do you mean breathable crib bumpers? i've never heard of a breathable mattress and am honestly not sure why you'd need one even if there is such a thing

All I've heard of too. I do not see how there could be a breathable mattress and what good it would be after you put a mattress pad and sheet on it. 
I've seen the breathable bumpers but did not see a need for them either. Nor do I have a fear of traditional bumpers. How un"breathable" is a wide open crib with bumpers? The nursery should have good ventilation/air circulation, a fan is helpful and should not be too warm.
It's a matter of personal opinion and concern but I think if used properly and responsibly, traditional bumpers are safe.

Does your Mom mean the ones with the vents on the side?
If so, this is the one we chose...it doesn't mention it in the description, but it does have the vents on the side.
