Dollar Tree Tests-- PSA
Ok, so I am still pregnant this morning... 3 days in a row is a record!
I am doing my own "at home experiment" to determine if my hcg levels are rising. I am 11DPO today, and got at least (I stopped counting) 6 BFPs already, plus a blood test, starting at 9DPO-- on FRER, CB Digital, EPT Digital, CVS One Step and Dollar Tree.
So, this morning-- I used the EPT Certainty, which according to POAS.com and babyhopes.com tests for 50mIU of hcg. Yesterday, I had 30 (according to my blood test) and I assume I had at least 25 the day before in order to get my 3 BFPs-- so, I was hoping for a positive today, assuming that hcg doubles ever 48 hours. The EPT digital was positive-- but the Dollar Tree, was still VERY VERY faint. I am hoping to see the lines get darker, so I can determine my hcg is rising.
There is no number on the Dollar Tree box to call and find out how sensitive they are. I just wanted to post the results of my experiment-- because based on this experience, Dollar Tree are not the best early result tests. I am REALLY curious to find out how sensitive they are. I will continue to use up my supply and hope I see my lines get darker-- before my second blood test on Tuesday.
Just wanted to share!

Good idea! I'm curios which tests give the earliest reading too!

Interesting experiment! But FYI, every test is different, even within the same brand, each strip can have different amounts of dye, so don't panic if it doesn't get darker!

Re: Dollar Tree Tests-- PSA
My next move is to get the Walmart Tests-- Equate brand in the purple box which supposedly test for 100 mIU.

I agree. I took 4 tests with the same brand. I got a very faint line two days in a row. The following day, I got another faint line, which was also the day I confirmed it with a digital. I took another test several days later and it was still pretty light. I wouldn't worry about how dark the line is.

You always hear that a line is a line, no matter how dark. I think the tests describe how early they can detect, no matter how faint the line. My first 5 lines were light with the dollar tree tests (10 DPO and onward). I know they got darker as I did them before my first sonogram. But we are talking over weeks.

Re: Dollar Tree Tests-- PSA
Here is my update on Day 4.
I took the Equate test this morning and it was positive-- I tried calling them to confirm what level of hcg the tests detect, but I couldn't get someone on the phone.
My Dollar Tree test was also darker than previous days.
I am not sure my experiment is providing any firm results because the test sensitivity is hard to determine. The online sources have some discrepancies. Either way, I am still POAS like crazy.

Sounds all good.
I pulled this up yesterday before picking up some tests. Maybe this will help?

I have seen this-- and also the list from POAS.com. I also found some other articles which talked about Equate-- everything says something different. It's very annoying!

I didn't know different sites say different things. Why do they have to make it so hard? They should just put it on the box to see when you buy. Good luck!

I know-- I think it's because some of the articles or charts are older than others... and the trend in HPTS is to be as sensitive as possible so people can test earlier. So, some of the companies may have changed their tests.
I will say that the Equate tests-- which I found two articles say that the Purple cap one tests for 100mIU, is the ONLY box that does not say "results up to 5 days sooner", so I assume it's not as sensitive as a lot of the others.
