Does your husband think you're crazy???

We've agreed to start TTC in January and I've just gone off of BCP in preparation. My DH thought that this was slightly odd, as he seems to think that it'll just happen when we want it to. Lots of people have suggested TCOYF to me, but I just have a feeling that if I came home with it, DH would just think I'm absolutely out of my mind.

How do you ease him into the wonderful world of fertility???? TTC is something we've talked about lots and I've been ready pretty much forever, but he's just come around earlier this year. I haven't pressured him into it or anything, and he says he definitely wants to, but I still feel like he's slightly overwhelmed by the reality.

Anyone else?

I don't think there's anything wrong with buying TCOYF. Forget the fertility part! This book gives you tons of insight into your own body and how it works (off BC), especially recognizing signs.

I went off the pill in april and my husband and i just went and bought tons of condoms before we started trying. In my opinion, it's really good to go off the pill for a bit to regulate your body and to understand it. Chat Icon

I don't think we can expect men to feel the same way about TTC as we do. As far as many guys are concerned, you have sex and then you have a baby. They never had to deal with a period, ovulation or a cycle or the possibility of being (or not being)pregnant themselves. When we explain it to them, it doesnt become fun anymore, it becomes a project.
