Does your DH spend time with DC in the morning?
My DH snoozes a bunch of times in the morning and then goes straight into the shower. He doesn't come out to see me and Sidney till he is fully dressed and ready to go out the door. He then can't touch sidney cause she is dirty from breakfast and she reaches out for him 
Why can't he just get up 15 minutes early to play with her? Why wouldn't he want to??? He only gets to spend about 1 hr with her when he gets home from work!! I mean he could atleast stop in her room to say good morning before he runs into the shower. I'm usually in there playing around with her at that time.
This makes me so sad and kind of baffles me because I know how much he loves her.
What the #&#@ is wrong with men???

He tries to see him but DS has been getting up around 6:45 and DH has to leave the house by 7 so thats all he gets to see of him in everyday durning the week. DS goes to bed between 6&6:30 at night and DH doest get home until 7-7:30. He does spend a lot of time with him on the weekends. He usually is with him all day on saturdays and I clean the house and do what I have to do. We also try to go out as family.

I cannot complain here. He stays home all day with her. However, I do not always have time to spend with Ava in the mornings and it makes me very sad to leave her on those days.

On the days he doesn't go in super early while we're still sleeping he does. It's not a lot of time but he'll usually bring her downstairs while I brush my teeth and stuff and he'll talk to her a bit while she eats breakfast then it's out the door.

I totally have the same situation! 
My DH is the same way. I just don't understand why he can't get up a little early and spend some time with DD then-- she's in a great mood in the mornings. Instead, he wants me to keep her up until he gets home (around 9 pm) so that he can see her. She's always sooo cranky at that point and I feel so bad for her!

No, he leaves before they are up and comes home 2 hours after Sarah goes to bed, so he only sees her on the weekends. He sees Andy since he goes to bed around 10:30, but once he starts sleeping longer he'll only see both of them on the weekends.

I would understand if she were asleep or nursing when DH was getting ready in the morning...than there is nothing he can do.
BUT...he sets the alarm for 7am but snoozes till 7:15 or 7:30. What is that extra 15 to 30 minutes of interrupted sleep gonna do for him. He is making the decision to miss that time with his daughter (or might I even say he could just offer to frikkin help me so I could hop in the shower!!!)
I was sick the other day so he slept on the couch. While I was making her breakfast she kept going up to Daddy to pat his head to play with him. (This was during his snooze cycle). He would briefly respond to her than roll over. Than when I commented on it he said that even though I was sick he probably got a worse night sleep than me cause he was on the couch! Are you kidding me?

I think that some men just don't get it. Have you shared your feeling with him? He may not see it and need you point it out to him.

If DH works a normal schedule he is gone before DS or myself are even up.
Right now he has to work late so he goes in later. Its great b/c he lets me sleep in and takes care of DS in the morning. Feeds him breakfast and everything

If he works the early shift (leaves at 6:30AM) and DS is awake, he will give him his sippy cup of milk and change him before he leaves. If I'm going to work and he's off or working the late shift, he takes care of DS all day. If he's not working or on the early shift, he gives DS dinner and his sippy cup of milk, then puts him to bed. Honestly, no matter how much time he spends with DS, it's never enough. We're very lucky.

We all wake up at the same time so things are pretty chaotic. DH does give the baby a quick kiss as he's running out.

Actually, dh spends all the time with her in the morning, he gets her dressed, fed and ready then drops her off at daycare.
I am the one running out the door. (I always stop and play though).

That's what I'm talking about....I wish he would take a few moments to hug and kiss her and just be "there".

Don't feel too bad A - Steve goes in to get Cam every morning and as soon as she sees him, without fail, she says "Ma Ma". It used to irrtate him, now he just laughs about it!
Seriously though, maybe youshould plan a little time away from Sidney so Howie can have some bonding time with her. Maybe a night and morning when its just the two of them. Perhaps he sees how good you are with her and doesn't want to interfere/feels insecure? Steve gets like that with Drew b/c he forgets how to care for a newborn.

I did over 2 weeks ago. He just started his new job so was going kind of early. So I said when he starts to go in later than he can get up 15-30 mins early to be with her. He said OK (but didn't seem all that enthused!)
Yet he has yet to do it (though he has been going into work later for the past 2 weeks).
So today when she was reaching for him and he wouldn't take her I said he really has to wake up ealier because this is really mean (that approach didn't go over very well  )
We'll see what happens on Monday - or better yet we'll see what happens on sunday when its my bday...will he give her breakfast and let me sleep in???? Not holding my breath

no time in the morning, he usually leaves before we get up.
But he now goes to the gym at 5:30am instead of after work so he is home at night to be with him.
