Does your DC behave differently when your parents are around?

For a couple months now my DS is acting differently when he's around my mother and I. He sees her a couple times a week and when were together he only wants to hold he hand, calls out for her and doesn't seem like he wants me around. If I try to hold his hand, he pulls away.
He will also act up more. If were talking, he will scream to get attention. He gives me a huge problem getting in my car into the car seat. Sometimes he will have a huge meltdown, arching his back, screaming while trying to get him into his car seat. It's highly frustrating.
Does anyone else's child do this with your mom or dad around? When were alone together or with others, he behaves a lot better and when my mom watches him with my dad, they say he behaves good too.
He's only acting up when I'm in the presence of my parents.
Is this normal?
Is it a faze?

This is totally normal. My boys put on a show for their grandparents. Always have. My 2 yr old favors my mom and MIL. He puts on these fake sad faces (which everyone sees through but comical). He only wants grandma. I don't take it personal. I'm the mom and, to be honest, enjoy the break. My boys play well together too when it's just me or me and DH, but they fight more around grandparents and sometimes other family members for attention. My 4 yr old was just as bad, but getting better now. He's not as dramatic as his younger brother but was like that too.
