I have the homedics sound spa. I use the projector as a night light
I think he'd be ok in the dark, but I like it just in case I have to go in there in the middle of the night to put something away or just to check on him once in a while if he was off that day or sick

DS #1 is 2 yrs old, he's always slept in the dark....the darker the better, we use blackout shades.

DS#2 is only 2 months, as soon as he moves into his room (which will be soon) he will have blackout shades as well. He sleeps in our room now which is also pretty dark at night.

I don't see a need to introduce nightlights or any kind of light. One less thing for me to have to deal with.

Dark. No nightlights, not even the hall light. One night DD kept waking up crying but putting herself back to sleep and we had no idea why (she usually never wakes), but went into her room at 3am and the light was left on dim. On the monitor we couldn't tell... once we shut it she slept fine til morning.

Night light because I am afraid of the dark. If she grows up and doesn't want it then we'll take it out, but for now it stays since we check on her often.

DD#1 used to sleep in the dark. Then around 2 she started having night terrors so we put a nightlight in there. She's slept with a nightlight in her room ever since. She is 3.

DD a BF baby, so I put a nightlight in her room so I could see when I went in to feed her. I never took it out, and recently she started saying she was afraid a monster was going to jump out from behind her armoire and attack her, so I added a second night light behind it.

No nightlighs here... DS is 13 months. I just put the twilight turtle on which turns off after 5 minutes. Then it's totally dark.
