does the flu shot make your infant sore?

allison was always really good with her shots...she never had a reaction or was cranky after them.

since she's going to be in and out of daycare every once in a while i decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to give her the flu shot just in case she picks something up.

when she got the 1st round she was fine until after her 1st nap. she woke up and was soooo miserable, she wouldn't stand on her feet, she was just cranky and wouldn't crawl or use her legs at all. it lasted two-three days and then went away. i chalked it up to the shot and forgot about it. she went back for her 2nd flu shot last week and again, the same thing. she did fine until after her nap and then she was just miserable, wouldn't crawl or use her legs. isn't not like she's paralyzed or anything (thank God!) it's just like she prefers to not put weight on her legs.

i'm wondering if the flu shot is similar to the tetanus shot where it hurts like a b*tch afterwards? or is she starting to react this way to her shots in general?

sounds like it..I would think so...I know when I had to flu shot my arm was sore for a day or two!

My kids didn't have a reaction, but it is definitely possible she is sore from the shot.

Poor baby, her leg must be very sore.

I got MY flu shot on Saturday and the muscle in my arm still hurts quite a bit when I use it and aches for a minute or so after.

that must be it then...i don't remember my arm being very sore after the flu shot, but then again i've only had it once or twice in my life. the tetanus shot though hurt me so much and so long afterwards! thanks!
