I haven't had cold cuts since I've been pregnant because my first OB told me to avoid them at all costs and basically scared me out of eating them.
My OB now says it's fine as long as I heat them up to be safe, so we're headed to the store this afternoon to pick up some ham. (I'm more of a ham girl as well)

Blech - I hate turkey.
I'm not a huge cold cut fan, but I have eaten roast beef and ham while PG -
My OB said I had to stay away from the good Italian stuff (salami, pepperoni, prociutto)

I am so glad I read this thread because at lunch I was sitting trying to figure out what the heck to order between not being able to eat cold cuts and soft cheese.
So as long as the sandwich is heated up it's safe(r) that eating one cold?

yes - because the heat would kill any bacteria on the meat itself....
