We have one in the kitchen but we don't use it.

If the power goes out all cordless phones on a home line are too. Not everyone has our cell numbers.

That's why we still have a corded phone.

Heck, dad STILL has a corded ROTARY phone in his bedroom he will not part with... it's older than most posters on this site

We have one in the kitchen and one in the office with cords. The ones in the living room and our bedroom are cordless.

There was nothing wrong with the cordless phones so we saw no reason to get rid of them and buy cordless to replace them.

The phone in the bedroom has a cord in case of a blackout. The other phone is cordless.
I hardly ever use the bedroom phone.

I have one at home that we bought to test the lines when we were having a problem. I keep one at my office, too, in case batteries die.

yes, the one in our bedroom on DH's nightstand is a corded phone. We need it incase the power goes out.

I did have one, but gave it to someone who needed it. At the time I was only using my cell phone and didn't even have a landline.

I even have a rotary dial in my basement that still works when hooked up.

we have one in our master bath with a cord, but the rest of the house is cordless

We have a corded unit in our bedroom. There are three cordless units that work with it. I like having a cord with a phone.

Yes- DH is a PIA and insisted on one in the kitchen because he got tired of me "losing" the cordless phones around the house......

5 phones in the house. 3 corded, 2 cordless. It's important to have at least 1 corded phone so if the power goes out, you can still use your phone.

OMG, my cordless phone died when I moved to my new apt. so I have been using an old school ROTARY phone. No call ID, waiting or voice mail. It finally drove me crazy and I got the fanciest cordless phone in the store today. I can't wait to be hooked back up!

We have one corded phone in our home office. My parents have one, too.

We have two corded phones. DH insists I use it whenever I'm on a call giving out personal info (credit card info, social security number, etc) as any call on a cordless phone can be picked up by a scanner and they would then have your info. Oh - and also if the power goes out.

Yes, but we keep it in the hall closet and use it when we lose power b/c our phone system is digital. We have discussed placing a POTS phone in the basement permanently.
