Does anyone make ICED COFFEE at home?
If so do you do anything other than make the coffee and put it in the fridge? I have never made iced coffee at home but reallly want to start b/c my crazy habit of 2 iced coffees a day is costing me almost $6 a day!
Thanks

Yes, all the time and the only thing that makes them as delicious as the store kind are Big Train Ice Coffee mixes. They are SOOOOOOO GOOD! In the end, it ends up costing me about $1 for a 16 oz. cup of coffee at home. I like the vanilla latte and kona mocha best.

I have a stove top espresso maker. I make the espresso, pretty strong. Then I add sugar to it. I store it in a glass container in the fridge and drink it like that or add cold milk.

I make a good homemade style Frappucino.
Take 1 cup of milk, 4 teaspoons of sugar/splenda, one tablespoon of instant coffee, ice and just throw it in a blender.
It's GOOD!

I make double strength coffee, add sweetened condensed milk, store in fridge and pour over ice cubes when I'm ready to drink it.

I do.
I usually make for 2 days at a time.
I make Lavazza espresso in my percolator (I use 6 scoops for 4 servings)
I cool it down and then keep it in a glass jar in the freezer.
much cheaper and it's my favorite iced coffee anyway!

I make a whole pot of coffee, pour it in a container, add sugar and milk and store it in the fridge. Then I just pour it over ice. Couldn't be easier.

I just brew double strength coffee, add my sugar while hot & store in the freezer. Then when I drink it, just add creamer & lots of ice. It dilutes the strong coffee. Yummy!
ETA- I worked at Dunkin Donuts when I was younger & this is how we made it there.

I use my tassimo to make amazing iced coffee. I use a Starbucks disc and pour that hot (with milk) over a glass of ice. Perfecto!

Re: Does anyone make ICED COFFEE at home?
A good trick is to freeze regular coffee in an ice cube tray.
That way, as the ice melts, it doesn't water down your coffee. This is especially good if you like it strong or medium so it stays that way as you sip.
Also, I usually put my to go mug in the freezer for 15 mins while my coffee is brewing, that helps it stay cold all morning.
