Does anyone have Windows VISTA?
I bought my laptop this summer and it was installed with WINDOWS VISTA. Along with VISTA, I received a TRIAL version of Microsoft Office 2007. The trial is about to run out - so what do I have to do? Do I have to purchase the software and reinstall it? Will I lose everything I have? I'm not sure exactly what I have to do.
TIA

The programs will not work anymore, but you will not lose any work that you have saved.
Yes, you'll have to upgrade and pay for the full package.

Re: Does anyone have Windows VISTA?
Thanks for the info. Can I get the software at a local computer store? Any idea how much it runs?

Re: Does anyone have Windows VISTA?
It depends what version you want. Check out this chart. Looks like the cheapest version is 400 bucks.

Re: Does anyone have Windows VISTA?
first thing i would do is to save your current documents in the old format of whatever program you useing....
you won't lose your files if you unistall the program..
office is expensive...you may want to buy a student verison if you have/know anybody that is a student in school or you go to school yourself...
If you don't need Outlook, buy this verison...
and office has nothing to do with vista 2 seperate programs..

Re: Does anyone have Windows VISTA?
Well those are MSRP prices. You might find it cheaper elsewhere.
I see at Bestbuy they have a home and student version for 150. But that version doesn't come with Outlook. If you want Outlook then its the standard version at 400 bucks.

No, they don't pay - I pay for it on my own. But it's only like 150 bucks plus another 60 in studying materials. It's worth it just so that my cert doesn't expire.
The upgrade tests are worse.. they cram 5 tests worth of data into 2 upgrade tests. They also have simulations now... yippie.
