Does anyone have this pool by Intex?
We are not ready to get a pool this year, maybe next year but in the meantime we were looking into one of those blow up type pools. I saw this in BJ'S last night. Price looked good but just wondering how it actually is. I read some reviews on Amazon and a lot were good just wanted to see if anyone here had one?
Intex pool
Thanks!

We had one and it was the best purchase we made! We got the huge oval one. The whole family loved it! When we sold our home the buyers asked us if they could have it so we left it :( Our new home doesn't have a pool yet ;) I miss that old pool and I am contemplating getting a smaller one for the kids for the time being.

Re: Does anyone have this pool by Intex?
Thanks for the input ladies. The only reason I'm hesitating is because the one area that I want it the ground isn't completely level. I'm reading anything off by an inch has caused pools to collapse. I'll have to talk to my husband and see what he wants to do. He is a pain because he doesn't want to ruin his precious grass but I don't want to melt this summer especially being home with my dd she is going to want to be outside all the time

My old yard wasn't leveled either but my husband put down tarp and some sandbags and it worked out fine :)

Yes. You will have a big problem with that pool if the ground is level. My parents have the pool but my dad is very handy. He adds dirt and makes sure the area for the pool is perfectly flat. Only other consideration is that it is going to ruin your lawn in that spot. (My parents have what a call a crop circle!).

You may need a permit for a pool like that. In Islip, you need a permit for just a goldfish pond! (I'm not saying everyone has one, or that anyone gets caught, but it might be a "requirement" in your town.....)

I have it and we are very happy with it, bc of the level ground thing we put it on our patio ( patio is oversized) and bought the rubber mat floor puzzle piece things from harbor freight to keep things soft under and around the pool.

That's actually what we wanted to do,put it on the patio with the ruber mats but my husband did it with those large pavers and it isn't exactly level since it was just something to step onto from off our deck. He is not feeling the destruction on his grass...that's his pride and joy I'd have to check Brookhavens regulations. I thought anything over 3t needed a permit but I could be wrong. Thanks for all the advice!

We had leveling issues too. We tried sand and tarps too. But the weight of the water in the pool made it worse.. It collapsed and flooded the neighbors yard.. :(

No one has had a problem with how small the filter is and how dirty it gets constantly?
We hated it because it never stayed clean.

Our Intex pool is a bit bigger than the one the OP asked about, and YES, we found the filter it came with to be completely inadequate!
We picked up an above ground pool filter at a neighbor's garage sale and it made a world of a difference.

Thanks. I figured you would need a bigger filter as it basically did nothing. I was constantly cleaning it and even with the cover on it when not using, it got too dirty to swim in it.

We ended up buying but have not set it up yet. My brother in law bought one as well. He set his up so we are going to let my dd try theirs out before we set ours up. She is 18 months and didn't like the water last year so I want to see how she does this year before I waste my money.

Re: Does anyone have this pool by Intex?
We have the 12x36 and love it. We did buy a "real" pool filter because we found that the one that comes with it, just isn't enough and getting the ground exactly level is NOT easy but the pool itself is fantastic. We will be setting ours up for the 4th year soon.

I'm in Brookhaven and had a similar pool. Got cited for no fence all the way around, but didn't need a permit for the pool.

No fence all the way around the pool, or around your yard?
