i hate shorts...thank god for capris coming into fashion... ..i also do alot of dresses in the summer...

Same here. I'm obsessed with flowy skirts/sundresses when it is hot. I also do capris but never ever shorts. Glad I'm not alone. I do think that some (very few) woman can pull it off, like in the picture previously posted.

i hate shorts! i stopped wearing them in high school
i do like the longer length ones that come to my knees - i have stick legs (hence the name sticklee as given by my FH  ) so those are more flattering.

don't wear 'em. my legs are thick from playing soccer for years so i feel like even though they're muscular, shorts make them look fat. the only time i wear them, are jogging type shorts if i am taking pup-pup to the park or cleaning around the house. otherwise it's capris and skirts for me.

I live in the longer ones during the summer, the bermudas and have a few pairs of shorter cargo style shorts that are literally 5 years old. They're the only "shorter" shorts that look somewhat decent on me.
It's really tough for me to find a pair that looks presentable.

Seriously, no one wears shorts?? I do, I admit it. I spend my summers at the pool or park with my kids and wear shorts. Not short-shorts, but a longer style, to my knee. I do wear skirts and capri's too, but shorts more often. I am very self-conscious of the fact I am wearing them too, being that I am bottom heavy, so I always seem to check out the other woman and see what they are wearing. I know I am not the only one wearing shorts.... But after reading this thread I felt like I was

I dont wear daisy dukes but shorts that are a little longer!!
and I never thought of shorts as a "younger persons fashion"

In the summer when I am headed to the beach I usually wear a cover-up dress..
I own a couple of the terry cloth shorts that I wear around the house with a tank top and flip flops~ very comfy!! (

While I own about 3 pairs of shorts, I really hate them. Not only do I find them uncomfortable, I find them unflattering.
I definitely prefer skirts & dresses to shorts.

I probably own about 8-10 pairs of shorts and I only wear 1 or 2 of them. I'm always self conscious about my thighs so I'll wear the longer ones a lot and the shorter ones only on "skinny" days. Otherwise it's capris and skirts all summer long.

I wear shorts to bum around in on really hot days, and ALWAYS around the house. but if I am going anywhere nicer than 7-11, it's capris.
ETA: if we're on vacation in the Caribbean, I wear shorts all day and then a summer dress/skirt or dressy capris at night.

ME, I have my own personal rule: If the thighs touch I dont wear shorts. So needless tosay its been about 3 years since I wore a pair of shorts.

I only wear cotton strechy shorts (not spandex!!) like pajama shorts...I hate the way jean or khaki type shorts look on me. Usually in the summer I wear capris

i take that back i SOMETIMES/ VERY RARELY wear khaki cargo shorts. i own 2 pairs that look like this with either flip flops or wedge sandals

Great outfit! That is so my style! Although, those shorts wont nearly look as good on me as it does for the model.
The only time I really wear shorts is to the beach- and those are the terry shorts.
