Does anyone else have to drag their DC's to OB appointments??

Last time I was pregnant, my mom wasn't working, so she would watch DD for me. But now I have noone, and DH doesn't get home til 7 most nights. So I'm dragging DS with me (he's 15 months). Thankfully I can go when DD is in school in the am.

I feel like such an odd ball because I'm always the only one with a kid in the office.

Anyone else have to do this? It's annoying!

I did once and it was my first and last appt with her well maybe I brought her 2xs. She wants to be on stage when I am at the OB and its just way too long of a wait for me. I dont think its odd to bring them though. As long as they sit for however long it takes.

I purposely make appts when I know I have someone to watch dd. I just know she freaks out at drs offices. I cant bring her she will be a screaming mess

We bring the boys to all of the appointments. We have no one to watch them. It is not fun. We just bring lots of snacks. I have my NT scan next week and have to bring the kids. Looking forward to the scan, but not the cranky kids.

I had to bring my daughter to every single exam. I was always the only one in there with a baby.

I recently went for a regular checkup and I had my 20 month old & 6 month old with me.
I bet the patients in the waiting room were thinking," she's pregnant again!"

I pack a bunch of toys for DS. I've seen kids in the waiting room that go in with their mom for the appointment.

Ds sits in the corner on a chair and colors or plays with his dinosaurs. He is usually well behaved- he saves he's bad behavior for home

I've had to bring my son a number of times. And almost every time I go, I see at least one or two other kids there. I have a playgroup with my son and there are 5 of us in it. We all got pregnant with #2 around the same time, and I asked them one day and they ALL said that they have to bring their older child to appointments very often. If the doctor doesn't mind and it doesn't bother you, I wouldn't stress it!

I've had to bring my 2 yo old to every appt. She's been pretty good so far...I generally bring toys and snacks.

I see kids all the time in my old Obs office and less in my new one but I think that is more cause it is a much smaller practice.

yes, only recently...so far so good though..my ds really likes going with me and he is pretty entertaining...BUT he is three years old...if he was younger i'd definitely be more stressed out..

Yeah, my ds is 11 months i bring toys, snacks and he sits in his stroller. He is fine as long as he can see me.
