does anyone

else get nervous about getting preganant. I want to be a mom more then anything right now but i always have in the back of my mind, i hope we can afford this, or maybe we should pay off some more bills if we try and other times, i think timing is never going to perfect.

Yes, sometime I freak out but we both really really really want a little so badly, so we know we'll make it work no matter what.

As you mentioned - there's really never a perfect time to have a baby. There will always be unexpected costs and expenses!

We started a "baby fund" when we began TTC. Since we've bee trying for 14 months, it's had lots of time to grow! It would be a great start for us to have a child, however if we end up needing IVF, it will become our "making a baby" instead of "having a baby" fund.

I know our hearts are in the right places, and we're doing the best we can to be financially ready. I think that's all you can really ask for!

Yes, I completely get nervous but I know there is a difference between "never fully being ready" and being irresponsible. I know we are responsible people and can work on a budget and make things work with a baby. I don't believe you can ever fully be prepared for the changes that will come.

thanks ladies you made me feel better knowing we arent the only ones, we both want to be parents and we are very responsible. I guess sometimes i get nervous and question myself when i already know what we want

yes, i feel the same way as you...with the way the economy is right now it is hard not to think that way.
but like you said the timing may never be perfect...

my DH and i feel the same way especially him because he will be providing for us while I am home with a baby. with the way this economy is its very scary!
