Doctor's bills and insurance question
Just generally annoyed. I keep getting bills in the mail for $10-$30 when I supposed to be covered 100% (pre-natal visits and child's sick visits).
The doctor's / hospital want the amount my insurance did not pay after the "adjustment." I know I am the guarantor for what my insurance doesn't pay but it just seems ridiculous if I am supposedly covered 100% - obviously I am not if this is the case.
Anyway I can fight this? Should I start with my insurance? These little bills add up!

I would call your insurance comp first. Find out what your responsible for and then take it from there. If your not supposed to be billed then your insurance comp can call on your behalf or with you on the line.
ALso you can log in online to see your eobs to see if they should be balance billing you.
NEVER trust bills from a drs office without checking your insurance 1st. I had a drs office bill me $125 for services that my insurance denied. It clearly stated on the EOB that services were denied and patient cannot be billed.

Re: Doctor's bills and insurance question
It sounds like either the Dr or the hospital is out of network.
