Docs appointment today
Hey ladies, So I had my CD3 sono. It really wasn't as bad as I thought. Doctor gave me the OK to start Clomid today for 5 days. I am due for another sono and blood April 19th.
Just a few questions.... When should I be BDing? She also mentioned something about an injection shot to stimulate ovulation. (Forgot the name) afterwards. Do you have to do sonos and blood every cycle?
To all!

Re: Docs appointment today
Are you just using Clomid? Or doing Clomid & IUI?
The injection is what we call the "trigger" and it's usually Ovidrel. You don't need to BD until after your trigger (if you're doing timed BD).
Anytime you're doing fertility treatments, you'll want to be monitored through bloodwork and ultrasounds to see how many follies you have.

Re: Docs appointment today
Thanks so much Hayley!!!
The doctor just started me on Clomid. Ovidrel is exactly what he prescribed me I just couldnt remember the name! He didnt tell me when to take it though- assuming he probably will next Sunday when I have an appointment. He said that because Im still young, I will probably be doing three cycles of Clomid and then jump straight into IVF. Does that sound just about right?

Re: Docs appointment today
U should probably start BD'ing closer to the 19th...maybe a day or two before. When they do the next blood and sono, they'll measure your follicles to see how close u r to ovulation. They'll know based on the blood and sono when you should do the Ovidrel shot. Sometimes it takes a pharmacy a day or two to get the shot so u may want to fill the prescription now and just keep it in your refrigerator until the dr tells u to take it....BTW, the shot is pretty painless.
Good luck!!!!!
