Doc appointment today.
I saw my OB today regarding the weird bleed I had several weeks ago and again this week. He said I had an anovulatory cycle and that I will probably be out of whack from it for a while. He said if I haven't regulated by January then I need to come back. This freaking sucks. He also said that that it's all a crapshoot and I just got lucky with my previous pregnancies. Has anyone had anovulatory cycles before? Did you body correct itself quickly?
ETA: I am p i s s e d he didn't give me a blood test or check my hormone levels. I really feel like something larger is wrong...

I believe after my D & C in July, I had 2 anovulatry cycles. Then I started temping after reading the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and noticed this cycle it looks like I finally ovulated. I loved this book and learned a lot. I was I had been temping for the past year! Good Luck and feel better.

No blood test again?? I would definitly get a second opinion, seems so strange that they won't do one, I got one the first time I went in when I got pregnant with DS. Sorry you are going through this, if you feel something is up you should definitely go with your gut.

I don't know that I have had them before since I am not temping. I just know about the past month because of the irregular bleeding. I think I am going to just try and relax till January and then start temping.

I would def go back and get blood work done to be safe! I had a weird cycle back in July and although I didn't think I was pregnant I went and got blood work done to be safe. Nothing came up and dr. chalked it up to a wacky cycle.
What exactly happened and what is anovulatory cycle? My situation was I started spotting like 5 days after my period and it lasted two weeks. At the end of the 2 weeks I finally saw the dr. Then a few days later I got my period again (which was 1 week early). I never ovulated that cycle, never got CM or anything. I was under some stress that month but the whole thing was just odd and it had never happened before!
