Do you wax? Shave? Bush?

All of this TTC business is making me really scrutinize every last detail!Chat Icon

I was thinking of getting a Brazilian...anyone do this before?

I've done bikini waxes before but never the whole thing!

Furthermore, how long does the hair have to be? I would hate to go there with a bush and have them laugh at me! Chat Icon and I would hate to go with not enough hair to wax it properly!

Help me!!

Re: Do you wax? Shave? Bush?

I got a brazilian right before our wedding 4 years ago. It hurt like crazy afterwards, but DH liked it! I would probably never do it again.

I would grow it out somewhere in between - you don't want it too short that they can't get it, but not too long, because I feel like that will hurt more!

I hope this helps!

Re: Do you wax? Shave? Bush?

I brazilian every 5 weeks. I started for my wedding in oct now haven't stopped. If you shave wait 4 weeks then go. Longer hair hurts more. No matter what the first time is the worst time ever if you maintain it doesn't hurt as much. Don't know where you live I'm in Bay Shore but my favorite waxer is at Racines in Islip she's thorough and quick. I've been to other places where I feel like I've been butchered. Good luck.

Re: Do you wax? Shave? Bush?

Too long isn't an issue since they buzz you before they wax. They did when I went anyway. I went to Sonia's in Roslyn right before the wedding. I didn't think it was that bad, but they wouldn't do the full brazillian on me since it was my first time, though she did comment a few times on my apparently high tolerance for pain. I didn't think it was that bad. The closer to the goods you get, the more painful, so I'm sure a full brazillian will hurt a lot more

I religiously got Brazilian waxes for 4-5 years, but they get to be .Chat Icon Now, I just shave, it is easier.

We were actually talking about this today at work but I got this bikini trimmer from Bliss and I love it Chat Icon However during the summer I do shave. If I had a high tolerance for pain I would wax.

I am au naturel!!!

I'm naturally not hairy so I look trimmed but I require no maintenance. I seriously don't even have to shave my legs for several weeks and you can't even tell! And I have black hair!

I've been waxing for YEARS (like 12 years) and have never once been buzzed by the person beforehand! Chat Icon
