for little Anthony. I am a PICU nurse, and i have floated to the NICU and taken care of premies as young as 25 weeks, 28 weeks he is definitely in the safe zone. As far as the listeria, i cannot comment, however the worst of infections usually hit premies after the first 24 hours, Its sunday, so i am hopeful that he can pull through.

My baby is now in the NICU and I can tell you there are babies there that were born as early as him and for various reasons but they are thriving.

my BIL's cousin was born at 28 weeks - 18 years ago! She turned out normal in everyway!

I dont know much about Lysteria but my parents foster child we found out was born at 22 weeks, 1.5 lbs and is now a very healthy (although tiny) 4 yr old.
