Do you think it is weird to have 2 bedrooms with beadboard?

We put a wide bead board in DS's room and it looks so nice. It goes up about 5ft and is white. The top is painted navy.

We are in the process of giving DD a big girl room and DH mentioned about putting the samething in her room. Except I would only do 4ft up. Keep it white and then paint the top a pale pale creamy yellow (depends what color she wants). The bedding I picked would look so pretty with the bead board in there.

I am not sure if it matters but we plan to sell in 3-4 years.

I don't think it's weird at all! My SIL has beadboard in both her DS and DD's bedrooms. I know I wouldn't think about what it will mean selling the house down the road. Do what makes you (and your DD) happy.

I think it would be fine...and look really nice! It's almost like painting a room a funky color and thinking about what the next owners would think. It's just paint, it can be repainted...and beadboard can be removed with a little more work.

Make the house look the way you want it, since you have to live in it.

No, not at all. It almost makes more sense, like in the same way you might put the same type of crown molding in multiple rooms. I have bead board in both bathrooms & the entryway I like the way it looks. I am only taking it down b/c the previous owners put it up poorly--in theory I like that it is in both bathrooms.
