do you think it is too early to throw a shower..

my freind is due on Jan.2 - I would like to throw her a shower late september - do you think that is okay - my MIL doesn't think i should do it too early but
I truely think that it is okay - do you think that it is too early???

Honestly, I think it is a little too early - there's over 3 months between her shower and the baby's arrival. That is a lot of stuff to store for such a long period of time.

I think it's too early. I would wait until November before the holidays.

I don't think so. If that is when you can throw it I say go for it! My shower is in October and I am due Jan 2.

I don't think it's too early, esp like others have said, the holidays can get really busy.

i think early oct would be a good time. sept is fine, but she will have all that stuff sitting in her house for a few months.

you should really do it 2 -3 months before the baby is due not earlier. Too early means you have to store the items and she may find she needs more things as the pregnancy gets closer..

i would def. so it closer. plus new things come out all the time.

i would wait till probobly early oct/ nov.

It really depends upon the circumstances..I had my shower with the twins at about 24 weeks b/c we bascially knew that I was looking at hospitalized bedrest and they wanted me to have a nice shower...But in general I would say its a tad too early.
