do you think it is too early to throw a shower..
my freind is due on Jan.2 - I would like to throw her a shower late september - do you think that is okay - my MIL doesn't think i should do it too early but
I truely think that it is okay - do you think that it is too early???

If you can't do it any closer to her due date, then I guess it is ok. My girlfriend is due December 10th and her shower isn't until later in October.
But don't ask me, my shower was when I was 37.5 weeks.

Personally, I think that's a bit too early unless there's reason why you can't do it later. I would say the end of October would be the earliest I would throw it if it were me.

You can throw a shower anytime, it really doesn't matter. As a matter of fact, once you get past the middle of October, everyone starts thinking about the holidays and is more focused on that. Not to mention, it's harder to book a place and they cost more money. If you give her a shower in September, she'll never expect it and wll be completely surprised.

I agree. I don't think it matters when you throw it and the farther away from the holidays, the better.
