 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I'm registering for one, but based off how many are for sale on craigslist, I'm guessing no, I don't think its a must have |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I don't think it's a must have, but I do have nice memories of sitting in one with my Mom as a kid. She is actually having the one she used re-glued, stained and the seat reupholster for the baby’s room for us |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I did not get one before my DS was born and I will not get one before this baby is born. I do not think they are a must at all. Actually they seem very expensive I would rather spend the money on something else. JMO |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? Since my living/TV room is on a different floor than the nursery, there would really be no where for me to sit if we didnt get one unless I sat in the dining room or on our bed. Message edited 8/14/2008 9:20:23 PM. |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I'm getting a glider. I think it will be a very comfortable place to nurse and to help put the baby to sleep. |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? Its not a must but I think its nice for nursing. I think we will register for one. If we don't get it, maybe I'll ask my mom if I can have the rocking chair she used with me and my brother. |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I use my glider everyday!! So as a mom with a challenging baby, I would say it is a must. It is dependent on the type of baby you have and you can't predict that when your baby isn't born yet. |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? We don't have the space since the baby will be sharing her room with her other siblings [my step-kids stay with us every other weekend and have their beds in that room] but I realized that I a really want a glider. So, DH and I are going to look for one that doesn't scream glider and replace one of our old chairs in the living room with the glider. My house is super tiny, so this is the only way that I will be able to have a glider- other than putting it in the backyard! My couch isn't very condusive to rocking back and forth, not to mention I have been having back issues, so I feel like I need to have some form of rocker furniture in my house.
 Maybe this one:

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I love my glider. I still use it when we read. It was so much more comfortable to nurse him in the glider than anywhere else. |

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I didn't think I needed one, but we got one as a gift and it was a lifesaver on some of those long nights.
We also use it for reading books before naps and bed now.

 I use mine every night.

Same. It is a necessity for us.

Us too. When I am at my mom's, I am lost. She loves to be rocked before bed. It soothes her so well!

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? We got one for DD and I actually didn't use it as much as I thought that I would. I do use it sometimes though and might with the next one.
I was however, at a friends the other day and they had this chair from Ikea:

that I was sitting and bouncing in and I thought that it would be great in a nursery - and a LOT less than we paid for the glider!

 | Re: Do you think a glider/rocker is a must have in the nursery? I am BF my DD and I use our glider/rocker probably about 10-12 times a day. It is the perfect position for breastfeeding. I try not to rock with her in it though b/c that puts her fast to sleep and she needs to stay awake for feedings. |
