Re: Do you sleep on
I start out on my left and then that is all she wrote. I try to return to my left as much as possible. The blood flow is better on ur left. But you can anyway you feel comfortable. After a while my hips hurt so I turn alot. I can not sleep on my back I feel like I cant breath.

Re: Do you sleep on
With both pregnancies my intentions are to sleep on the left, but I'm always on my right. I always feel that if something was "wrong" my body would tell me. I belly slept until I started getting queasy...

Re: Do you sleep on
I find myself even on my back sometimes, but I sleep on a wedge so at least I'm elevated I guess... I think the wedge makes it harder to stay on my side, but my heartburn was unbearable without it and I kept getting sinus problems too. I start out on my left, I flip to my right and my back throughout the night.

Re: Do you sleep on
I start on my right, because I just CAN'T fall asleep on my left, however....
When I wake up in the middle of the night for a bathroom visit, I come back to bed, and try to remember to lay back down on my left so that I get some of that good circulation in.

Re: Do you sleep on
I try, but I'm back & forth all night. At this point I just want to sleep. Oh and my hands/arms fall asleep like mad, it's horrible.

I start out on my left and then when I roll to my right I use the pillow as a wedge.

Re: Do you sleep on
I start out on my left, I go through this ridiculous effort to switch over to my right and then usually I give in to comfort and sleep on my back. Sleeping on my side all night puts too much pressure on my hips.
ETA/PSA: don't post while DH is talking to you.

Re: Do you sleep on
I start out on my right, but after the bathroom visit go in my left. Then the hips start to hurt, so I end up in the recliner in the baby's room.

I start out on my right, but then turn left, then back to right, then back to left ALL NIGHT LONG
I think I spend about an hour every night changing sides..
Ive noticed that putting a pillow under my belly is amazing

Re: Do you sleep on
I start on my left, then turn every which way. Last night was misserable, so at this point anyway I can sleep is fine with me.
I heard that your body will let you know if you are cutting off blood supply.

I start out on my desk.
No- DH sleeps on that side, and I can't face him- he's such a lite sleeper and I have suddenly become a snorer...

Re: Do you sleep on
My routine is precious. I start out on my right, wake up when the dog adjusts and roll onto my left, wake up when DH's snoring becomes unbearable, go pee, come pack and put in my earplugs (a.k.a lifesavers) and try laying on my right again, switch sides every time my hips ache...wake up on my right side when my alarm goes off, which has been cranked so horrendously loud to assure that I hear it with my earplugs in, so it damn near sends DH and the dog through the ceiling.

Posted by eroxgirl I knew you caught it.
I try not to disappoint.
Is the right side bad for baby?
I keep trying to make my husband wear earplugs, but he won't. Pain. He seems to prefer to wake me up every time I snore.

Re: Do you sleep on
I am so much more comfortable on my right side but since my husband knows its better to sleep/lay on my left side he makes sure I am always on my left side
