Yes, there is a recycling center at our local library.
I drop them off when returning books.
Many towns take them. They have homeowner drop off days (paint, chemicals, etc) two times a year.

We put them in ziplock bags & leave them out on top of the bottle/can recycle when we put that out to the street.
