Re: Do you own a snow blower?
yes its huge and really expensive I am not against having one but my DH bought a ridiculous one when it was not needed (right now we have one car driveway and live on a corner), but it does its job and DH likes using it.
however he still pulled his back ... he thinks it was because he was inpatient waiting for it to reverse and he yanked the snow blower back

yes, even with a snow blower you are exerting a lot of effort- those things are not light to push, especially with the huge amount of snow we had this weekend

Do you own a snow blower?
Anyone have any recommendations for one? I want to get one for my parents as they can't shovel anymore.
They have a house in Bayside, so its not a lot of land. Just the sidewalk in front and the drive (1 car driveway)
The garage barely fits the car so WHERE to store the snow blower is another concern. So it can't be a big one. I thought about those tiny ones that plug into the outlet, but they seem too small to do anything. The other one's I've seen are as big as lawn mowers, and they would definitely have problems finding a place to store it

Re: Do you own a snow blower?
We have one.
It is a sno-tek that we got from home depot a few years ago.
it's really worth it.
I used the shovel to do the walk way and even the palms of my hands hurt.

We have a regular snowblower and we just got a power shovel. You are probably talking about the powershovel as the small one.
We got the powershovel because I wanted something for when we had a snowfall of 3 or 5 inches where my husband would usually just shovel it manually without the snowblower. He's working longer hours now so I would be stuck doing it and I thought for the 99 bucks its worth a try.
The power shovel isn't as good as a regular snowblower, you cant control where the snow gets shot to, it will only do ~6 inches at one time, but even still its better than manually digging out. Less back work as you are just pushing instead of lifting.

We don't have one but I think we might end up getting one this year. We have a verrrry long driveway and with DH's bad back, I think it's time we invest. Going to start keeping an eye out for sales this year.
agree, same

Re: Do you own a snow blower?
No. I have a husband who shovels, and I am grateful for him.
But down the line I am open to getting one. I also wanted to use the leaf blower on the cars but he cleaned them off before i had a chance.
