Do you like your canned Tuna
in oil or water, I always use the tuna in the water, but never tried it in the oil, which do you prefer

Re: Do you like your canned Tuna
i used to be a strict tuna in water gal- to take it further- i ONLY like SOLID WHITE not chunk white- chunk is too mushy...
but now I only use solid white when I'm making tuna with mayo.
my favorite way to make tuna is "italian" style- this is with italian "tonno"- in olive oil
you drain olive oil and add to it a little chopped celery, some capers, some chopped red onion, salt & pepper and juice of one lemon and a little more olive oil- it is AMAZING...

Re: Do you like your canned Tuna
I grew up with tuna in oil because that's the way they sold it. My mother still uses it in oil.
We only use Tuna in water and Bumble Bee Solid white is the choice.

bumble bee solid white tuna in oil for me please. I strain it real well and rinse it so it's not too greasy but has more flavor.

Yes Tonno! My dad always made that minus the capers. It is delicious on green salad, but if I make tuna salad w/ mayo, it must be packed in water.
