Do you like/serve green bean casserole for Thanksgiving?
Just wondering because I've never had it and am curious if it tastes good. Is there a good recipe that doesn't include canned cream of? Was thinking of maybe making one for Thanksgiving if you all think it's good lol.

Love it! It's literally the one thing all year I make with canned soup. There are recipes without, I'll see if I can find the one I made last year. It's good but not as good as the original.

i'm hispanic and had never had green bean casserole until last year. SO kept saying it's one of his favorites, so i decided to give it a try. i made it from scratch... so no canned cream of anything. i even fried the onions.
i must say, it was amazing. it vanished in no time. there were no left overs.
i'll see if i can find the recipe i used.

I love it.
The recipe on the soup can or the french's onion can should be fine.
They are pretty much all the same.

Sometimes we do...and sometimes we don't. It's ok. I will say I've made it with the canned soup and without and it's much better with.

I eat it for breakfast the next morning that is how good it is.
And it's super easy to make.

as a someone who grew up Kosher this was never allowed, mixing dairy with meat, but I was always fascinated by it lol.
I have never made it but it looks good
I assume you're talking about the one with cream soup and fired onions on top

We always make this for holidays and almost every BBQ (minus the cheese) We just call it corn pudding

I grew up with it and love it! My mom uses golden mushroom soup instead of cream of mushroom though. Unfortunately my DH isn't a fan, and my parents are not going to be with us for Thanksgiving, so this year we aren't having it

This might be why my mom learned to make it with golden mushroom soup, no dairy!
