You know....someone who just has that black cloud over them...
everything always happens to them or someone they know, and they seem to like that extra sympathy attention
How do you deal?

I often feel like I am this person. If "it" can happen to someone ... that someone is usually me ...

Re: Do you know an "Eeyore"?
When I saw this post, I started to laugh...but I definitely have an Eeyore...if it wasn't for several reasons why, she would be gone from my life completely. I can't take all the negativity all the time and no compassion for any body else's problems. I tend to keep her at arms length most of the time.

I do. I prefer not to deal with them unless I really have to. I have too much going on in my life right now that the misery of others would just compound into a jail sentence for myself.

Re: Do you know an "Eeyore"?
YES!! I carpool with two of them. They hate everything about where we work. They complain the entire 50 minute drive there and back everyday. At this point, I try to ignore their negativity, but I am seriously thinking of not carpooling with them anymore. I actually like me job, but sometimes they make me see negatives that I never knew existed. It is very frustrating.

heck yeah! IMAGE

i definitely know someone like that -- they suuuck
omg omg omg LOL!!!
there's someone in my family that we nicknamed "suicide" which is really mean - i know! but it got SO bad - it was RIDICULOUS - she has no reason to complain as much as she does and to always be so "mopey" -- she came to a fam engagement party - walked in, i went to greet her and say hello/how are you? and she, immediately, goes "ughhhhh i just came from a FUNERAL" and i ALMOST laughed b/c, in my mind, i heard "waaaahhhh--woooohhhhh" --the noise that follows a debbie downer statement from SNL! LOL! it is just out of hand!!

but i have to say - i have never heard of anyone referring to it as an "eeyore" before LOL! i love it!!
i know someone who carpools with someone like this - it is very difficult but with gas prices being what they are - lol - and with the advantage of using the HOV lane - she suuucks it up!
Winnie: Wow, looks like it is going to be a nice day!!
Eeyore: Hmmm, it's always nice before it raaaaains.
