Do you kiss your kids on the lips?
I'm from a family that doesn't kiss on the lips, I wasn't raised like that. Before dd was born dh and I joked that we wouldn't kiss her on the lips.
...well I do. Lol. One day I jokingly "confessed" to dh.
What do you guys do? How were you raised?

Do you kiss your kids on the lips?
Of course. DD2 is just learning to kiss and gives open mouth kisses! I obviously don't give my parents open mouth kisses or kisses on the lips. I know they will grow out of it one day, but I think it is ok when they are young!

I absoulutley give my girls kisses on the lips!! They are little and I dont see anything wrong with it. We are her parents and we love her to pieces. One day she will say ewwh mommy no kisses!!

Sometimes, yes.
I can't help it she's so kissable.
But then I think about passing her a germ or something and I get nervous doing it.
I was sick a LOT last year in the winter so I was always cautious not to pass her one of my many plagues!

I do....DS doesn't always let me.
When I leave in the morning for work I say give mommy a kiss and I get the cheek if I'm lucky....I think its cause he really doesn't want mommy to go yet. Those rare mornings where he runs over and give me a kiss I cherish!!!!!

I agree. I do it too. She's so little that I see nothing wrong with it. Plus my dd automatically goes for the lips when she kisses you!

As far back as I can remember there was no lip kissing going on in my family growing up.
I kiss DD pretty much anywhere from the belly up. Including lips.

I was not raised in a family where we kissed on the lips as we got older, neither was DH.
We do kiss our kids on the lips now because they are so little and cute, how can you resist?? But I'm guessing as they get older we probably won't.
Our kids don't kiss anyone else on the lips except for us, I think it's kinda gross if they did it with everyone. Too many germs.

I do not come from a family that kisses on the lips, and I never thought I would kiss my DD on her lips. However, she is not a generally cuddly/affectionate kid, and when she finally did start giving kisses a few weeks ago, she gave them to me on my lips, so now I happily accept them! I love getting little butterfly kisses from her on the lips, but I'm also trying to teach her to kiss on the cheek, because she will kiss daycare staff on the lips too, and I don't like that. I kiss her on her head all the time as well. The lips are only for when she gives me a kiss.
ETA: When she was younger, my BIL (DH's sister's husband) used to give her "lippy kissies," and it really bothered me and DH.

well I can't remember if my mom ever kissed me much less on the lips and I know my dad wouldn't have.
I don't kiss AJ on the lips. Her best friend kisses her mama on the lips and so AJ got a little confused but its just not something we do. Sure we slip up from time to time (missed the check) its not the end of the world or anything, its just not our 'norm'.

I lol'd when I read this because im not a mouth kisser and had a guy friend in college who kissed us all on the mouth hello, it was weird...
my parents never kissed us on the mouth and I think its weird for a certain age. I won't be kissing my 10 year old on the mouth, but for now he is only (almost) 3 so its cool...

Yes.
I don't recall when I was younger. I believe we were kissed on the lips, but as we grew older it was just the cheek?

I don't kiss my older one any where near his mouth/ nose, he is always sick and don't want to spread germs to the poor kid. My younger one, yes bc he comes at me with fish lips and is never sick. I'm trying to get younger one to kiss on the cheek now
