Re: Do you keep every art project??
So far yes. I have them in a big folder and we want to get a corkboard for the playroom where I can display some of them.

Re: Do you keep every art project??
At this point, no. They come home with stuff every single day... there's just no way. I keep my favorites and anything with their picture on it. The rest get tossed after a little while.

So far ys.... However my SIL just showed me a great thing..>She took pictures of all her youngest DD's artwork and put some into a book using shutterfly!
I think I am going to save the BEST but just do this for everything else!

Re: Do you keep every art project??
Nope, most of it gets tossed out after hanging on the fridge for a day or two. If it's something extra nice, I do save it.

Re: Do you keep every art project??
No. I save the ones that look the most kid created. If it's precut/drawn things that are just glued on by dd, i toss. She comes home with 3 projects a week on average.

Re: Do you keep every art project??
I used to but it was getting ridiculous how much stuff they brought home. So now I take a picture of their artwork and toss it and I only save work that is really outstanding and something I think they will want down the road. I do save some of their writing pieces so that at the end of each school year I have about 10 written works, 10 pictures, and 100's of digital pictures of their work. Much more managable!

Re: Do you keep every art project??
I have a 14 year old daughter and kept most of her stuff She loves that now! She wants to take it with her when she moves out. I also have her first Halloween outfit, her out of hospital outfit, her Christening outfit, her first blanket, her first rattle, and her first Christmas outfit
I wonder how much stuff my basement could hold? I do have triplets now

Re: Do you keep every art project??
No way. It gets overwhelming. I keep very few but have a system.
I put away a couple of the better holiday related projects with the holiday decorations, the extras I send to grandparents.
I keep 1 or 2 really special items per year.
The basic things like colored pictures or finger painting I toss, if it's special or a milestone I photograph it. I have a photo book for each year of her art projects and photos of her. Cataloging via photograph has allowed me to let go of stuff that would take up so much space. I like that I have these photo books to show her when she is older and for me to remember the special moments and projects without clutter.
