DH filled a Poland Spring bottle with just silver change once and it came out to around $4,000. He put the money in a CD. In was a pain in the AS$ going to Commerce bank with all of that change and it took 4 trips. He says he'll never do it again.
Now we have just a small jar that we cash in once its full, about every other month and it has around $100-200. We go out to dinner or do something special with the money each time.
That's what we did with DH's. It was over $3k and wasn't filled. It took years to fill, but it's so worth it! Now i want to count what I have in my pig

We have a water bottle for pennies and a big oversized coke bottle bank that we use for silver change.

I used to, but now I keep my change in my wallet & just use up it as I get it so it never builds up.

Yes, and every time we fill it we have somewhere between $200-300. Not bad!

DH and I have one but we cash it in whenever we go on vacation and use it for spending money.
