Do you have surround sound in your master bedroom?
Just wondering if it's pretty common to have surround sound in your master bedroom these days.
We just gutted our master bedroom and bathroom and we need to figure out all our audio/visual wants & needs before the sheetrock crew comes in. DH asked me if I wanted surround sound, so of course I said "yes." I'm just wondering if I'm getting a bit greedy now.  (Wait until I tell him I want a speaker in the bathroom so I can listen to my music when I shower.  )

This is definitely not uncommon these days. If we were remodeling I would want it. We already removed the old tube TV and purchased a flat panel which hangs on the wall.

no we don't but I plan on adding it to our master bath when we renovate. I'd love to be able to hear music while I'm in the jacuzzi. As for the bedroom itself, we don't watch much TV in there but I'd like music.

WE don't, but we are renovating our lower level and putting it in down there, so I would assume if we ever did our bedroom and master bath, we would.

Yes, we do and that is because DH NEEDS the surround system in our room.
Outside of the TV, he blasts his ipod through there as well.

How funny that you posted this....
we recently renovated our house, and last night I was enjoying the jacuzzi in my Mbath for the first time, I was in heaven drinking a glass of wine, with the windows open & the cool breeze from the ocean coming in(ahhhh lol)
and the only thing missing was the right music! I asked my DH WHY didnt we get SS in our master bed/bath- I guess we didnt think of it in time- I say you should definately get it!!

Yes. we have it throughout the entire house and even outside.. every room has a volume control too, so if you don't want to hear sound, just turn the knob. It's the best thing ever!

We are in the process of doing it all over the house. DH just went crazy buying some stero system and we have someone coming in to put speakers in every room (including outside).
I think it's totally unnecessary, but I'm sure he thinks a lot of the things I love are also unnecessary. So, we are getting the surround sound.

I saw on devine design that she put a tv in the bathroom mirror! I would LOVE that!!! It also had an mp3 player dock. Music in the bathroom is always nice!
I would think if I were renovating, I would put all wiring in I could - even just for a later date.
