Do you have DARK wood floors?
HI all!
We just had wood floors put in and they are stained dark but I'm not sure if they are dark enough? They can make them darker but I'm not sure if I want to go any darker...I'd love to see any pictures of your places that have dark wood floors. I just want to get a feel for how dark to go.
I truly appreciate any help!

I'm oot for work right now, and when I get back I have to decide whether to go darker. I looked at the above samples and I think this is the exact brand they used. I chose dark walnut but I think I should have gone with ebony...not sure, it looked really ashy so I chose the d.w. He added a tint to the sealant to make it darker and said he could do another, not sure if I should do it?
I'll post a picture tonight for you opinions, albeit a crappy camera phone picture. I really appreciate your help!

I *love* dark wood floors...DH otoh, was hard to convince. Once he saw the floor in our BR, he said we should have done the whole house in that stain  Meanwhile, I compromised (again) on the BR color by choosing a not-so-dark, dark color.
I didn't get a chance to upload last night...I'll do it tonight. Can't wait to see your pics!

This kinda gives you an idea of darker wood used(even if victorian isn't your thing ) I have area rugs but you can see the color of my furniture and it matches the floor. Hope is helps........ Image Attachment(s):

WOW thank you! I love dark floors! My phone just broke so I can't post my cell phone picture but I will take some when I get home Friday and post them.
ETA: I'm adding a few pictures that inspired me. I'm note sure our floors ended up this dark, but almost, and I'm still debating whether to go darker. I think I'll be getting some more recessed lights so the rooms have plenty of light to balance them and don't end up on the 'cave-like' side of things. Image Attachment(s):

Here are some pictures of our floor. I like the way it turned out but I'm changing the accent wall color to a gray.

Gorgeous color!! Love it.
What color grey are you going with? I'm looking at two greys for our guest room - both Benjamin Moore - Copely Grey and Cement Grey.

The wall right now is a 'greige', Feather Gray from Pratt & Lambert. I'm changing over to Windham Gray from P & L. It's more of a true gray.
