"Do you have a card?"
Question for biz owners and consumers
I've been surprised over the number of people asking for a card. I assumed that was outdated, with all the social media connections business has. I have a website and FB page and I tell people that, but I don't have a card.
Why do you think people ask for a card?
And should I just get them made?
The card would list all my social media links anyway.
Thoughts?

So if you meet someone in person, or in a meeting they dont have to stop what they are doing and look you up on social media to save your contact info. So if you meet someone they dont have to remember your name or your company name to later look you up. The card is just that, a directory TO those pages.

I do a lot of fundraising for our school and I always ask the business owner for a card. It is just easier for us to keep track of and to write notes on the back if needed. Also we can copy the card to hand out to members which looks better than just giving a link or facebook page.

Yes to hand to people so they can look it up later. They have them where you can have a code they can scan with a phone to go right to your website.

DH and I both have our own businesses and we have cards. Do we use them As much anymore ? No. But we do use them.

Even DC have cards....  It has our phone number and email so they can give it to their friends.
Vistaprint and Shutterfly always have deals. They have basic design cards that are basically free (just pay a nominal fee for shipping).
