I don't know why, but ever since I was a little girl, I've never imagined myself living into my 70's. My grandma still lives by herself and takes care of herself and she's going to be 94 in October.
my other grandparents are in their mid 80s and they're also doing fine.
I just don't see that for me.

My house burning down.
When I was a little girl, every time I hear the fire siren go off I was cry hysterically thinking it was our house.
ETA: and my Dad's house (the house I grew up in) DID burn down...about 3 months after I moved out.

I'm afraid of dying unexpectantly...like in a car accident or something like that and not being able to say goodbye to my family. Also, I'm afraid of being alone when I'm old...I always tell DH that I would die of a broken heart if he dies before me.

yeah that happens often, one spouse goes and the other goes 3 mos later
