Do you guys get your boss a holiday gift?
We are discussing what to do, if anything, for our bosses for the holiday. I don't want to get them anything because they do and give us nothing for the holidays. We get a year end bonus depending on the year's numbers but I don't consider that a holiday present since we all work for it all year long. I'm stuck in the middle and don't know what to do.

We get our boss's boss something (ultimately our boss too) but we don't get our direct supervisor anything even though he gets us something every year. Too many people in the dept hate him for a group gift and if only a couple of people get him something, they look like buttkissers.

No. At my past jobs, I'd give small things like ornaments. At my present job, no one gives to their bosses, so I follow along.

I just got a new boss a few weeks ago - not sure if I will get her anything because I dont really know her. Maybe something small but the decision will be difficult.
My previous boss was very good to me all year, and he gave me a generous check out of his pocket every Christmas for the past 3 years. I usually get him something. In the past I got him a few wine stoppers, giant thing of M&Ms (he loves) a Zagats, homemade cookies.

I usually don't per his request. If I bake or make candy, I'll bring in a basket of goodies for him to take home. But this year I saw a nice business card holder that can be monogramed and I am thinking of ordering that for him.

I don't- I only buy gifts for those for whom I'm their boss. I buy my secretary (and at my old job my paralegal) something, but I would never get my boss something.
ETA: I also don't expect anything from my secretary.
