do you feed your dog table food??

we do once in a while...

but recently we noticed that she wont touch her food unless she knows that she is NOT getting any... when she sees us throwing our scraps away , she will eat her food... this is such a BAD habit.. and we need to stop it.. i want her to eat normal again... she got spoiled

NEVER!!!!!

I do not want to start doing that, because I heard they won't stop & everytime you are eating they will beg for it, etc...

Once in a while and I mean maybe 1X a week, I give her a little piece of chicken or cheese, but I mix it in with her dry food and never just give her that.

No. Well let me caveat that. We do not feed them foods prepared for us. I will steam some veggies sometimes, and rice of course. Every once in a blue moon I'll make eggs for them, or steamed salmon (but very rarely since the price of organic salmon is ridiculous). I also add parsley to their food sometimes to help their breath and digestion. I only do this with organic foods.

Only on holiday's. We add a little turkey/chicken/beef when it's the holiday's to her bowl, but it's done on the counter before we all sit down.

Of course when someone at our table accidentally drops something from their fork/spoon, she's always there to lick it up!

Sometimes but it would be plain, raw veggies or grilled chicken or boars head turkey.

ETA: She gets plain rice if her stomach is upset.

We have never fed him table food.

But somehow he likes to beg for it.
God forbid I get up from the table without pushing in my chair! He will jump on the chair to the table and I will come back to an empty plate!

We thought this wasn't supposed to happen if we didn't feed him people food

She gets a baby carrot each night as a "treat" - that's about the extent of her table foods. We'll also make her some boiled chicken and brown rice if she has an upset tummy.

Sometimes. She likes to keep us company in the kitchen while we're preparing and cooking food, in hopes that we drop something and also bc she likes to be with us. So if she's being a good girl we'll give her a piece of something as a treat.

When we sit down to eat she has to lay down, she isn't allowed to beg. After we're done sometimes we'll take the scraps and put them in her bowl when we feed her. She always eats her food, she's never been fussy unless she isn't feeling well.

Sometimes they get bacon and eggs on Sundays when i feel like eating breakfast. but Porter ha Colitis so he can't have too many table scraps.

So guilty of it can't take the begging. My DH actually lets her lick his plate when he's done. He's a real winner. And my brothers forget about. They do anything to trick her to go outside sometimes. I have to tell them Yo stop giving her food that she should not have!!!

Sort of. My vet told me to give her cooked, unseasoned ground beef or turkey when I cook it for us. So she gets a scoop of that in her bowl.

Yes - she isn't a begger though- that might be why I do it

She was getting alot when my DD was in the habit of throwing food on the floor, so sometimes Casey will get what my DD doesn't it.

If we give Yogi table food, he never gets it directly from the table. We always put it in his dish. But, we only give him left over chicken or steak. Sometimes we give him pasta with no sauce.

yes, we do. quinn used to beg for it, now he knows he gets nothing unless he sits quietly until we are finished. and he does. ava's young so she begs, but quinn will teach her the way

Once in a blue moon we will cut our leftovers up and put them in her bowl. WHen my ILs come they feed her constantly and it takes weeeks to get her out of the habit of wanting it before she will eat

Guilty as Charged! My doggies are extremely spoiled. I kind of regret it because I can see the difference in which one I raised WRONG and which one I pretended to be strict with!
I wish I could break it...it's too late!

Unfortunately we do!!!! I try to put it in his food dish but I have fed him from the table now and then and it is the worst thing we ever do. He begs during dinner time but he is slowly learning that if he is quiet and not jumping up and down he will get something at the end of dinner.

yes..only things that we specifically prepare for her though, never what we are eating..we make her steamed chicken and brown rice or we will grill up a plain turkey burger for her every once in awhile...but she always will eat her dog food on the days we do not make her something....
