do you ever wonder what
Mr. McDonalds
Frank Perdue
and
Jimmy Dean really eat?
I can't imagine that they eat their own product when THEY know what really goes into them.
I would LOVE to see the inside of one of their fridges!

I had it for dinner last night.
sadly, the smaller organic/free range 3lb roasting chicken was $16.09.
I'd get the severe slap to the head if dh saw I paid that much for a chicken.

I need more info. Is it the way they'r ekilled? Or the sub standard FDA requirements? Or the lenient health codes? Or is it a humanity thing, where, like- they're all cooped up tightlike and just injected with hormones and stuff, and all sad all the time?
Veal factories? Those are bad like that. I won't eat veal. Things were easier when I was a vegetarian. But Max Power needs his MEAT!

I don't eat veal, at ALL b/c of the whole baby cow thing (I fell in LOVE with Norman on City Slickers at that was IT)
but it's the whole thing...the injections, the chickens born without wings, 2 heads...crazy ish like that.
then it's the handling...STUFFED into boxes, wings broken (while they are still alive!) and other heinous things.
this norwegian dude is revolutionizing the way chickens are farmed (for lack of a better term) I love that guy.
I don't like our guys.

Re: do you ever wonder what
I dont like Perdue...not because how the chicken is killed...I really dont care...but because they add stuff to the chicken to make it look more appealing....and i dont need any more additives/preservatives than I already eat

Norweigan chicken?!?!?!?
Unfortunately, I don't think any animal centric industry is entirely respectful and lovey and kind to the animals. The cows at the milk factory aren't, like- kissed goodnight. And I'm sure the chickens at Eggland aren't told how pretty they are.
I should buy organic more often- I will have to look into my budget. I do buy cage free vegetarian eggs, though- they're not that much more expensive.
I may just start hunting wild game... Victor almost hit a wild turkey with the train a few weeks ago. he did kill a hawk... I wonder what they taste like.

I won't eat veal either. The mass farming industry really bothers me. I have switched to all organic meat. It also tastes better. I find this with milk, cheese, and eggs as well.
